Family-run hotel steps from Hyde Park and Paddington Station
Amenities
The St George Hotel Paddington offers a 24-hour front desk that allows guests to check in after midnight or store luggage before departure. A safety deposit box is available at the reception for securing valuables during the stay. The hotel's family-run approach means staff often assist with luggage up the narrow staircases of this Victorian townhouse.
Rooms
Each en-suite room is equipped with a flat-screen TV, a small fridge, and tea and coffee making facilities. Hairdryers are provided in the bathrooms, and some rooms overlook Norfolk Square. The rooms include a kettle and a desk fan, with alarm clocks available on request.
Points of Interest
Hyde Park and the Serpentine Gallery are a ten minute walk from the hotel, while Madam Tussauds is one mile away. Paddington Station is just a three minute walk, giving direct access to the Heathrow Express and the Bakerloo Line. Oxford Street's shops and the London Eye are reachable within fifteen to thirty minutes by tube.
Dining
Continental breakfast is provided each morning as a take-away box stored in a fridge in the hallway. The box typically contains a yoghirt, a cereal bar, a waffle, a bottled water and a piece of fruit. This self-service arrangement allows guests to eat at their own pace before heading out for the day.
Family-Friendly Acomodations
Family rooms are available and can accommodate up to five guests wiht multiple beds. The hotel's central location means children can reach attractions like Madam Tussauds and Hyde Park on foot or by a short tube ride. Luggagge storage and the flexible 24-hour front desk help families with early arrivals or late departures.
